Overview
Section titled “Overview”Ahost Looking Glass (LG) is a web-based network diagnostic tool available at https://lg.ahost.host. It allows you to test latency, routing, and connectivity from Ahost servers to any external host. This helps evaluate network quality and troubleshoot issues.
Available Commands
Section titled “Available Commands”ping / ping6 — Measures latency and packet loss (IPv4 / IPv6) traceroute / traceroute6 — Displays the path packets take to the destination mtr / mtr6 — Real-time combination of ping and traceroute host — Resolves domain names to IP addresses
How to Use
Section titled “How to Use”- Open https://lg.ahost.host
- Select a server location
- Choose a command from the dropdown
- Enter a target (domain, IPv4, or IPv6)
- Click Run
- View the results in the output panel
Understanding Results
Section titled “Understanding Results”Latency (ms) — Lower is better Packet loss (%) — Indicates instability or filtering Traceroute hops — Shows routing path and delays MTR output — Helps detect unstable routes
Test from multiple locations Use mtr for deeper diagnostics Check both IPv4 and IPv6 Repeat tests at different times
